From “La Stampa” of November 25th, 2015 “Visiting the Museo delle Statue Stele in the Castle of Piagnaro in Pontremoli is an incredibly exciting experience that takes you on a journey through time. A fascinating place, a castle built over a thousand years ago to defend and control the access roads, today hosts the statues discovered in this area which date back to prehistoric times when these stones, shaped like men and women, took on a function that is still shrouded in mistery. Seen inthe rooms of the castles, the statues look as if they’re there to tell us something: the thousand years of history  have contributed in enriching the world heritage site.
